Frequently Asked Questions?
What can I expect during my first visit?
Your instructor will guide you through a 55-minute classical Pilates session, beginning with a brief conversation about your movement history, injuries, and goals. You’ll be introduced to the equipment and exercises, and can expect to learn more about your body while leaving feeling better than when you arrived.
Do I need prior Pilates experience?
No prior experience is necessary. Sessions are tailored to your individual level, whether you are new to Pilates or continuing an established practice.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing that allows ease of movement, such as leggings, shorts, or a fitted top. Please avoid zippers or metal embellishments, as they may damage the equipment. Grip socks are recommended and available for purchase at the studio.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
We kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Late cancellations or missed sessions will be charged in full.
Where are you located?
Winsor Choza Pilates is conveniently located at 8336 Beverly Blvd in the Beverly Grove neighborhood. Metered and street parking are readily available near the studio.
What type of Pilates do you teach?
We teach the classical Pilates method, following Joseph Pilates's original system, with an emphasis on consistency, control, and proper technique.
How many sessions should I do each week?
We recommend practicing 3–4 times per week for the best results. This can include a combination of private lessons and group classes to support strength, movement, and overall function. If you are new to classical Pilates, we suggest beginning with 10 private sessions before joining group classes.
Can I do Pilates if I have an injury or limitation?
Yes. Pilates can be adapted to support many injuries and physical limitations. Your instructor will tailor each session to your needs and work within a safe and appropriate range of movement. If you are recovering from an injury or under medical care, we ask that you obtain clearance from your physician prior to beginning your sessions.
Please inform your instructor of any injuries, medical conditions, or changes in your health before each session so we can support you safely.
